Camp owner, Dale La Belle purchased Birch Point in 1981 after leaving his logging career.  Dale has lived in the area all his life and enjoys fishing as well as hunting.  He has guided since he was a teenager and knows the area like the back of his hand.

Carrie, Dale's daughter had been helping at the camp since she was 12 years old.  She moved back to the camp in 1994 with her husband Jody Shypit so she could help her Dad out full-time.  Carrie and Jody have two small children, Halle and Jeremy.
